“ We stumbled upon this cafe during our brief visit to Hay on Wye recently and were very happy to find that it is both child and dog friendly. They have a wonderful selection of cakes which were very tasty, and the service was excellent. They really went out of their way to help find something suitable for my 11 month old son to eat. Additionally they provide a changing mat and spare nappies which I thought was such a lovely and thoughtful touch. I highly recommend a visit if you are in the area! ”
“ We arrived here starving at 2.30 in the afternoon, and were greeted with a friendly welcome and help in finding a table for our group of 7. I was expecting a long wait for food as there was another large table that had ordered before we did, but I was very pleasantly surprised that our food (ham, egg, frites, fishcakes, soup, and beef sandwich) arrived fresh and delicious looking within what felt like 5 minutes. Given that we were all starving having gotten carried away in bookshops all morning, this was welcome! We left fully fueled up and happy, thank you for a great experience! ”
“ Super popular bike stop in the centre of Hay On Wye. It has ample seating, inside and out, along with a good selection of tasty food and cakes. A great rest stop on a bike. Not the cheapest place, but it has a nice atmosphere. ”

The food was great—I had a jacket potato, and they didn’t skimp on the toppings (which I love!). Service was fast, and the building itself is charming. Also, the chia latte was fantastic. I appreciate that they serve the White Americano with milk on the side rather than mixed in—perfect for those who like to customize. Plus, it’s a welcoming spot for both dogs and kids. Will definitely be back! ”
